BBOOMS was designed from the ground up to easy to learn and use. To give you a feel for this, a portion of the main landing page is shown below. This is the page you land on after you have logged in with your User Id and Password. When initially arriving at this 'Home Page' it will show the 10 clients that have most recently had activity. The search criteria is used to search for a client not shown here.
Also see documentation of the page elements below the image of the web page.

| Description of the main features pointed out by the bubbles above: |
|
Information Panel - this is a feature of every page. The information panel gives the user a constant place to look to see who is signed on to the PC and which client, if any, has been selected.
In addition it shows the Bail Bond Company name and the Office name. This helps support those organizations owning multiple companies with potentially multiple offices each.
|
|
Main Menu - for activity related to a selected client the menu is very seldom used. See 'Client List and Navigation' below. Examples of web pages reached from the Main Menu are:
- Logoff
- Switch to another office within the company and the client list for that office.
- Maintain the office's master lists of Attorneys and Private Investigators.
- Admin functions: Depending on the security associated with the person logged in this menu allows the user to navigate to many different administrative functions such as:
- - control of bonds acquired and not yet used and who has been assigned which bonds for future use
- - creation of the bank deposit and reconciliation of daily receipts
- - control over and visibility to the receipt numbers used and voided
- - creation of the many management reports available
- - control over the many drop down lists that are used to insure valid data is entered such as the valid jails, courts, counties, charges, fees...
- - creation of collection letters and contact letters
- Access to the help pages that contain "how to use" information for each of the website's pages and processes.
|
|
Sub-menu and Page Title - all pages contain a bold page title and most contain a large icon to allow the user to quickly identify which page he or she is on. For instance if the user selects the '$' icon to navigate from the selected client to enter fees then the 'Fee Page' will show a large '$' icon in this title area.
Some pages have sub-menus. In the page shown above there is a menu button to allow the user to go to the page allowing a new client to be added.
|
| Search Criteria - you can enter any or all of the possible search fields then click on the Search button to bring back a list of clients that match. Or, for example, you can just enter the first few characters of the last name to bring back a list of clients whose last name starts with the characters you entered. |
|
Client List and Navigation - Upon first arrival to this page it will show a list of clients that have most recently had activity. If the desired client is not in this initial list you will use the Search criteria to find the client or click on the 'Add New Client' menu button to add a new client. Once the desired client is found you can quickly navigate to the desired page by clicking on the appropriate icon in the row containing the client's name. For instance the actions you can take directly from a selected client are:
- Maintain the client information
- Log a 'call in' and view the history of 'call in's'. In addition the call in page shows the following summary of client information so that it is readily available while you are talking to the client:
- - totals fees assessed
- - total payments
- - total due
- - last payment and date
- - the assigned Attorney if one has been assigned
- - future court appearance
- Capture a client payment
- View the history of payments
- See the fee balance
- Capture information about the client's friends, family, co-workers...
- Create a new offense/bond and view priors
